Description
Newton Villa is a house dating from the late 18th century, with some early 19th-century alterations. It is built from coursed squared gritstone and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features three first-floor windows beneath a pediment. The central entrance consists of a glazed door with an overlight, framed by an architrave with a cornice. On either side of the entrance are wooden canted bay windows. The first floor has three four-pane sash windows set in flush wood frames, with a continuous sill band and plain stone lintels. Additionally, there is a three-light lunette window in the gable pediment. Banded stacks are positioned on either side of the central section and are set back. The interior has not been inspected. The former service range to the left is now Nos 68 and 70.
