Description

A pair of houses dating from the early 19th century, restored around 1994-95. They are built of ashlar with a low-pitched slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three windows and a front entrance on the left side. Stone steps lead up to 20th-century six-panel doors, each with a fanlight containing glazing bars. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars throughout; those on the second floor have six panes. The window sashes in No.1 were replaced around 1995. Stone gable coping is present on the left side. A rendered multi-flue stack straddles the ridge at each end and in the centre of the building. The interior was not inspected. The houses are part of a terrace that also includes Nos. 3 and 4.
