Description
Number 30 is a house, now used as offices, located in Park Square and features area railings. It was built around 1800 with a later 19th-century addition, possibly by John Cordingley. The building is constructed of red brick and has a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall, with a basement and an added third floor. There are three first-floor windows. The entrance features a fielded panel door and a fanlight, positioned to the right within a pilastered surround that has a pediment. The windows have stone sills, painted flat brick arches, and 20th-century frames. The interior has not been inspected. The railings are designed with spearheads. This building is part of a row constructed by 1806 as part of the Wilson estate development, intended for merchants' housing, which included rear cloth finishing workshops and warehouses.
