Description

This is a two-bay house, built in 1867 and altered in the 20th century, situated on the University Campus of Woodhouse Lane, Leeds. It is now used as an office. The house is constructed of red brick with stone detailing, topped with a slate roof.

The left-hand entrance bay projects slightly and features a square, turret-like extension with a truncated pyramid roof. The right-hand gabled bay has paired windows on the basement, ground and first floors, and an ornate gable in a Dutch style, finished with stone coping and a vase finial. The front door has a decorative overlight and a hoodmould above. The windows are plate-glass sashes, all with hoodmoulds. Slender columns with foliate capitals separate the paired windows; a Gothic arch frames the attic window. Stone impost bands run around the building, and bracketed eaves adorn the turret.

The interior has not been inspected.
