Description
This is a group of three K6 telephone kiosks located outside the British Telecom Exchange on Headingley Lane in Leeds. Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, these kiosks were manufactured by the Carron Company for the two northern kiosks and by Macfarlane for the southern kiosk. They are made of cast iron and feature a square shape with domed roofs. The kiosks have unperforated crowns, with the two northern kiosks displaying replacement crowns from the Elizabeth II era, while the southern kiosk has a crown from the George VI period. The windows and door are fitted with margin glazing.
