Description
This building is a barn or coach-house, now converted into a dwelling, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from thin-coursed hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The structure has two storeys and consists of four bays. The central cart-entry is segmental-arched and now glazed, with voussoirs and a keystone. There are doorways at either end with monolithic jambs, a two-light window to the left of the entry, and an inserted single light to the right. Above the entry, under the eaves, are two pitching eyes set in raised surrounds. A central ridge stack was added around 1984. Inside, the barn features a king-post roof with trenched purlins. The building is included for its group value.
