Description

The Calder and Hebble Navigation Bridge, which takes Queen Street South over the Huddersfield Narrow Canal, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. The bridge features a depressed arch and broad tapering piers that end in large coved caps. There is a moulded string course and a parapet with moulded coping, which includes four moulded panels.
