Description

Exchange Buildings, dating from the 18th century or early 19th century, is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a hipped slate roof. The building has three storeys and an attic. The north side displays four ranges of sash windows, followed by a gabled section topped with a ball finial. This section includes one range of loading doors, which are now glazed, flanked by one 19th-century sash window on each side. At the south end, there is a two-light stone mullioned window situated above a trabeated archway, which is adorned with ornamental cast iron gates.
