Description

Twin Trees is a mid-19th century detached house built of hammer-dressed stone. It has a steep-pitched fish-scale slate roof with bargeboarded gable ends. The house is two storeys and has attics. The first-floor windows are set beneath coped gables and have moulded surrounds and stone mullions. Ground-floor windows have chamfered surrounds, with two mullions and traceried heads to each light. A carpentry porch with traceried sidelights, bargeboarding, a gabled form and fish-scale slate roofing covers the entrance door, which has arched lights. A shallow, canted bay, finished with a crenellated cornice, extends from the south side. An attic dormer is gabled, topped with a finial and ornamental cresting, featuring slate-hung cheeks, a cusped arched casement, and a trilobe in the gable.
