Description
Folly Farmhouse and barn, dating from the late 18th century, was originally two houses and a barn. The building is rendered and features a pitched stone slate roof, which has been re-roofed, with a coped gable on the east side and a large ball and stalk finial on the west. It has moulded footstones and stands two storeys high.
On the southwest elevation of the cottages, the ground floor has two eight-light stone mullioned windows with a central king mullion, while the first floor also has two eight-light stone mullioned windows with a central king mullion.
The former barn has a large central doorway with a segmental arched head, which is partially blocked to create a small doorway and two single lights. There is one two-light stone mullioned window on each side of the doorway. On the first floor, there are two two-light stone mullioned windows and one single light. The east gable features one three-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
