Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses located on Penistone Road in Shelley Bank Bottom. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with the rear of the first floor rendered. They have stone slate roofs with gable copings and cut kneelers. The facade is symmetrical, with two and three storeys. Each house features a central doorway with a single window on either side. Above, there is a seven-light window on the first floor. At the rear, each house has two two-light windows at first floor level. The ground floor and basement have been largely altered.
