Description

Thunder Bridge is a road bridge over Shepley Dike, built in the early 19th century. It features a single span with a segmental arch and an ashlar band that forms the base for the deeply coursed ashlar parapets. The north side has replaced copings, while the south parapet ends in a round abutment topped with a domed cap. The parapet on the north side includes the inscriptions: THURSTONLAND SHELLEY.
