Description

The Pinfold at the junction with Huddersfield Road is a structure from the 18th century or earlier. It features an approximately square dry stone wall situated on a north-south slope. The wall is made of dressed flat slabs on two and a half sides, while the east side has been recently repaired and set on concrete. The remaining one and a half sides consist of roughly dressed stone, with some edges set. The height of the wall varies, measuring 3 feet on the north side and 8 feet on the south side. There is an entrance located at the north-west corner, which includes a monolith and shaped gate posts.
