Description
Nos 127 and 129 on Dunford Road are two dwellings that form part of a farm row, dating from the mid-18th century, with some first-floor window openings added in the 19th century. The buildings are constructed from deeply coursed millstone grit, with some areas rendered, and feature a stone slate roof. There are two ashlar stacks; one has moulded strings while the other is rendered.
The south-west elevation has a doorway with a deep lintel, which may have been altered, flanked by altered 4 or 5-light double chamfered windows, with several mullions removed. To the left, there is a lean-to extension and a 3-light double chamfered window beyond this. On the first floor, there are five 2-light stone mullioned windows.
The rear elevation includes a central blocked doorway with an arched lintel and a chamfered window on each side. There is one chamfered window and a later 2-light window on the first floor. To the left is a bay of 3-light chamfered windows with removed mullions, and to the right is a bay of 4-light chamfered windows with two mullions removed from the ground floor.
