Description
11-15 John William Street is a mid-19th century building used for retail, offices, and warehouses. It features a sandstone ashlar frontage and a slate roof.
The structure consists of three storeys and five bays, facing east onto John William Street with a short rear projection. The ground floor has modern shopfronts on either side of a central entrance that provides access to the upper floors. On the first floor, the windows are sash style, with the fourth and fifth bays retaining a single upper glazing bar. These windows have moulded surrounds, keystones, entablatures, and a continuous moulded sill. The second-floor windows are two-over-two sashes with plain raised surrounds, cornices, and sills supported by plain brackets. At the top, there is a modillion eaves cornice.
