Description
Nos 23, 25, and 27 on South Lane are a row of three dwellings built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof with gable copings and carved kneelers. The buildings rise to three storeys. No 23, located on the left, has a single bay with a two-light window on each floor and a ground floor entrance to the right. Nos 25 and 27 are designed as a pair, each featuring a five-light stone mullioned window on the first and second floors, although three of the lights in the centre are blocked. No 25 includes a ground floor entrance and a two-light window, while No 27 has an entrance flanked by a single sash window on each side. There is a recently built lean-to on the right gable, which was previously an internal wall.
