Description
Nos 58 and 59A are two dwellings located on Town Gate, dating from the mid to late 18th century and altered over time. They are constructed of finely coursed rubble with quoins and feature a stone slate roof, complete with gable copings on carved kneelers and an ashlar gable stack. The buildings are two storeys high.
No 59A has a central doorway that is topped with a deep, slightly arched lintel. On either side of the doorway, there is one former three-light stone mullioned window on both floors, which now has a central mullion and arched frames. No 58 has an entrance with a very deep lintel and altered windows. These buildings are included in the listing for their group value.
