Description

This is a row of two early 19th-century houses, located at Hollowgate in Holmfirth. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof, featuring a one-part gable coping and cut kneelers to the rear. Moulded stone brackets support the gutter. The houses are three stories high and terraced. No. 27 has an additional bay to the left, which includes a modern ground floor casement window, and a two-light window to the first and second floors. The main parts of both dwellings each have an entrance and a three-light window to the ground floor, and a five-light window to the first and second floors. A partially blocked loading door is visible at second floor level to the rear.
