Description

A pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, situated on Far End Lane in Honley. The houses are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and have a stone slate roof, now covered with bitumen, incorporating a small, recently added dormer. Gable copings are present, resting on carved kneelers. The south-east elevation features a doorway on the left and right, the left doorway incorporating a fanlight. There are two 2-light stone mullioned windows on each floor, with a single-light window on the first floor above the left doorway. The north-west elevation of No. 2 features a staircase window on the first floor, and both houses have a Venetian window in the apex of the gables.
