Description
Honley Wells consists of two large stone troughs, built in 1796, with a deeply coursed stone wall on two sides. A carved plaque on the structure states: "Any Person who damages these Wells or defiles the water incurs the Penalty of Ten Shillings 1796." Additionally, there is an inscription carved into a corner stone that reads "HT 1850 'The History of Honley', M A Jagger, 1914."
