Description
Eastgate Upper Fold is a late 18th-century building that was originally two back-to-back dwellings but is now a single residence oriented at 90 degrees within a group of buildings. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a basement.
On the north-west gable, there is an entrance and a four-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor, along with a six-light stone mullioned window on the first floor and a three-light stone mullioned window in the attic. The south-east gable, which is rendered, has a three-light stone mullioned window and an entrance on the ground floor, a five-light stone mullioned window on the first floor, and another three-light stone mullioned window in the attic.
