Description

Possibly originally a coach house converted into dwellings, Far End House likely dates to the late 18th century. The house is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins and has a stone slate roof, featuring gable copings on moulded kneelers. There are four ashlar stacks, two of which are rendered. The north-east elevation has five bays and moulded stone brackets. A central carriage entrance is partly blocked by a doorway and a single light window above it, with a loading door also partially blocked. Two sashes are located on each floor to either side of the entrance, some with glazing bars (one blocked at ground floor level). Venetian windows are positioned at the apex of both gables.
