Description
Lunnaclough Hall is a mid-19th century building located on the north side of Kaffir Road in Edgerton. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a pitched slate roof. The hall is two storeys high, with three gables at the front, the central one slightly projecting forward and supported by diagonal buttresses at the corners.
The main façade showcases three gables, with the outer sections featuring mullioned and transomed windows that have hood moulds on the ground floor. The first floor has mullioned windows with four-centred arches and cusped lights, along with blind trefoils in the gables. The central range includes a porte-cochere adorned with octagonal buttresses and crocheted ogee caps, flanked by four-centred arches on each side. The outer side of these arches is blind, while the open sides feature four-centred arched windows with pierced spandrels.
The entrance consists of a four-centred arched door with ornamental iron hinges, flanked by arched sidelights and a fanlight, all set within a large four-centred arch. The first floor has additional four-centred arched windows with hood moulds. The second floor includes a sash window with a cusped head, which is positioned beneath a deep flat ashlar hood supported by ashlar brackets. The first-floor window on the south range also has a flat ashlar hood with a crenellated edge and a balcony on a flat oriel below. There is one further one-storey range to the south, featuring a three-light window with cusped wooden tracery and a shaped hood mould.
