Description
This building group consists of Nos 13, 14, and 15, along with adjoining barns, and dates from the early 18th century with some alterations. The structures are made of finely coursed rubble and hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins and stone slate roofs. Nos 13 and 14, which have been reroofed, are positioned at a right angle to the rest of the group. The gable ends have chamfered copings supported by carved kneelers, and there are moulded stone brackets that likely date from a later period.
The central chimney stack on Nos 13 and 14 is made of ashlar, while No 15 has a gable stack, both with moulded strings and caps. The buildings are two storeys high. The south-east gable of Nos 13 and 14 has a later entrance and a four-light double chamfered stone mullioned window, although two of the mullions have been removed. On the first floor, there is a two-light double chamfered window, and in the gable apex, there is a cross-shaped ventilation slit with a carved motif. A 19th-century canted bay window is located on the north-east side.
No 15, which is the south-east part only, features a later ground floor window and a tall double chamfered staircase window. On the first floor, there is a four-light double chamfered window with one mullion removed. The adjoining barn has a 19th-century doorway with a segmental arch on both elevations. The barn to the south, which is at a right angle, contains two small doorways with Tudor arches, one of which has been reset. There is a string course running along the barns and No 15. The barns feature king post trusses with struts and one post, along with many reused timbers and some recent repairs, including timber supporting posts. The north-west part of No 15 is not included in this listing.
