Description
Lydgate Parsonage is a detached parsonage built in the Jacobean style, which also includes a Sunday School on the ground floor. Constructed in 1842, it features hammer dressed stone with ashlar dressings and quoins. The building has a stone slate roof with gable copings and carved kneelers, along with tall diagonally set stacks that have shaped copings. It is two storeys high, with the main frontage comprising three bays. The ground floor has three tall 6-light mullioned and transomed double chamfered windows, while the first floor has three 2-light double chamfered windows. At the rear, there is a double pile cross wing with a two-storey ashlar canted bay on the right gable and a Tudor arched doorway on the side.
