Description
Friths Farmhouse is a late 18th-century laithe house, with alterations made in the 19th century to the south facade. It is constructed of watershot masonry with a stone slate roof and quoins. The building is two storeys high. The rear elevation retains the original fenestration, featuring two bays of three-light, flat-faced mullioned windows on each floor, and a doorway with monolithic jambs. A semi-circular arched cart entry is present, with a Venetian window above. A two-light, flat-faced mullioned window adjacent to the doorway serves the mistal. The front elevation has a similar arrangement to the rear, but the windows have been altered to two-light sashes. Three well-dressed stacks are visible along the ridge.
