Description

These are a pair of cottages, dated 1799, located on Shelf Brow Lane. They are built of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and have two bays each. Each bay features a doorway with monolithic jambs and thin, flat-faced mullioned windows of three lights, with overlapping heads and sills to both floors. There are three stacks on the ridge. Two modern timber and glass storm porches have been added to the front doors.
