Description

Miller Barn is a laithe house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building stands two storeys tall and has quoins at the corners. The south front has flat-faced mullioned windows with three lights, with a similar arrangement above. Next to the quoins, there is a doorway with monolithic jambs. Additionally, there is an inserted square window above, and a semi-circular arched cart entry with tie-stones on the jambs. A low doorway with tie-stones is located next to the quoined angle. There is one stack on the ridge of the left-hand gable, and the rear of the building has a similar layout.
