Description

Haugh Shaw Hall, also known as Haugh Shaw House and Haugh Shaw Villa, is a 17th-century building that was originally a single house. The construction utilises stone in a traditional manner. The building is two storeys high, reducing to one at the rear with a steep sloping roof. It features mullioned and transomed windows. A two-storeyed porch with a round-arched doorway and an elaborate gable, likely dating to the late 17th century, is present. Three west-facing windows have been altered with modern easements, and the corresponding wall is rendered. One window to the east of the porch has a label moulding to the ground storey and four lights to the first floor. An east wing, which is three storeys high, is plainer with paired sash windows and a gable. A large chimney stack is situated on the rear gable.
