Description
West House is a late 18th century to early 19th century, two-storey stone house located on King Cross Street. The building features five windows and has an eaves cornice with a pediment above a hipped slated roof. The entrance is accentuated by engaged columns and a segmental pediment. There are wide bow windows on each side of the entrance, which are flanked by pilasters and an entablature, possibly indicating an alteration. A later 19th century entrance lobby with pilasters and an arcade has been added to the east side of the house. The west side is plain, and there are large rear additions that are not of interest.
