Description

48 and 50 Rochdale Road are a pair of 2-storey cottages dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from thin hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. Centrally placed doors are flanked by 3-light flat faced mullioned windows with overlapping heads and sills, and the doors have thin stone slabs for the head and jambs with a tie. Above these, there are four 2-light flat faced mullioned windows. The cottages also have moulded gutter brackets at the eaves and an internal gable stack on the right side.
