Description
Stones Wood House is an early 19th-century house built from ashlar with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and features a symmetrical three-bay front. The building has raised quoins and a plinth, with a moulded projecting cornice that serves as a stone gutter. There are cable stacks on the roof. The segmental arched doorway is flanked by pilasters and an entablature with shallow panels, topped by a moulded pediment. The windows are sashed with 16 panes and have plain surrounds, tie-stones, and projecting sills. On the right-hand return wall, there are two similar windows and a centrally placed semi-circular arched attic light, which has an impost and keystone and retains its original glazing.
