Description

Nicklety is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of thin hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. The north front has three storeys and is symmetrical with two bays. Each bay contains a chamfered mullioned stepped window with five lights on every floor. The windows are connected by a band of sills and lintels. The left-hand return wall dates from the 19th century and includes a single-storey 20th-century stone porch, which is flanked by large sash windows on two floors that have altered glazing. The house has a gable end stack and two additional stacks on the ridge.
