Description
No. 75 Wharf Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone alterations in the mid to late 19th century. The building is made of coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has five bays, with a wing extending to the rear left.
The structure includes a plinth and quoins, and the 19th-century doorway is adorned with columns, pilasters, and a console hood that has a cornice and blocking course. On either side of the doorway are 19th-century canted bay windows topped with shaped parapets. The windows on the first and second floors have plain stone surrounds and raised cills, while the windows throughout the building were replaced around 1980. Shaped gutter brackets support the roof, and there are end stacks. On the left side of the building, there is an arched window located in the center of the second floor.
