Description
This is a terrace of five house-over-house dwellings located on Keighley Road in Hebden Bridge, dating from the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. They are two storeys tall with basement entries at the front and three storeys at the rear. Each dwelling is a single-cell cottage, and the terrace consists of five bays with quoins.
The basements have door entries to the lower cottages, which are accessed via a flight of stone steps surrounded by cast iron railings. Above the basement, there is a doorway leading to the upper dwelling, which has tie-stone jambs and a flat-faced mullioned window that has been altered from its original four lights to two broad lights. The first floor features similar windows that were originally five lights but have been modified to three lights. At the rear, there are five bays of three-light flat-faced mullioned windows on each floor, and the terrace has five stacks along the ridge.
