Description

These are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century, located 10 meters behind Wadsworth Royd Farmhouse. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The gables have quoined angles, kneelers, and copings. Each cottage has 4-light flat-faced mullioned windows, with a tall Venetian window above. On the wall opposite the farmhouse, there are paired doorways with tie-stone jambs. Inside each single-cell cottage, there is a flat arched lintel above the fireplace, which has a moulded shelf and monolithic jambs.
