Description

Stirk Bridge is a road bridge dating from the mid-to-late 19th century, built of ashlar and cast iron. The two-span bridge features central stone piers with faces cut to a triangular section, and fielded panels form the base of the causeway. The railings are composed of plain bars supported by scrolled brackets, with a plain handrail running along the top. They terminate at the south end in ashlar piers capped with pyramids, and at the north end in low walls.
