Description
This is an outbuilding located approximately 10 metres southeast of Upper Quick Stavers Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of coursed drystone rubble with some squared blocks and features a stone slate roof. The building has two bays by two bays.
On the north gable front, there are quoins, a quoined doorway on the left, and a small window with a stone surround on the right. In the centre, there is a later window with tie-stones to the jambs and a small blocked rectangular vent above. The right return has a window in the surround of a chamfered two-light window on the right and a small rectangular vent, which is now glazed, in the centre.
Inside, there is a stop-chamfered tie-beam with queen struts supporting the principal rafters, along with large scantling purlins.
