Description
The outbuilding next to Netherwood House, dated 1702, is likely a former stable. It is two storeys tall and has a cellar, constructed from coursed rubble with a stone slab roof featuring gable copings and kneelers. The building has two windows with slab surrounds, flat mullions, and glazing bars for fixed glazing and eared sashes. Instead of the lower right-hand window, there is a coach door with a segmental head. The south end of the building has left-hand stone steps leading to an upper door, with an off-centre door and a right-hand window with a mullion below. The gable features three small openings, likely for doves, with moulded sills, one of which has the date incised. This outbuilding is part of a group that includes Netherwood House and several other nearby structures of local interest.
