Description
Nos 641, 643, and 645 on Little Horton Lane are an early 19th-century row of cottages, with No 645 being slightly higher than the others. They are constructed from sandstone "brick" and topped with stone slate roofs. Nos 641 and 643 were built as a pair and are dated 1808. Both cottages feature sill bands on each floor and have paired block brackets supporting the wooden gutter eaves. The stone "brick" chimneys add to their character. Each cottage has two-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds and plain, squared jamb doorways. Between Nos 641 and 643, there is a date plaque inscribed with "L over C R" above the date, accompanied by a delicately carved small wreath below.
