Row of 3 cottages attached to earlier cottage, now 2 dwellings. Earliest cottage, initialled and dated " R F 1700 " (Robert Ferrand), to right of row, rest initialled and dated " B F 1776 " (Benjamin Ferrand), with added mid-C20 bay to left in keeping. Hammer-dressed stone, dressed quoins, stone slate roofs. 2 storeys with earlier single- storey cottage set back, each a single cell. 2-storey cottages: Quoins. Each has doorway with tie-stone jambs and chamfered surround to left of flat-faced mullioned window with slightly recessed mullions which have an inner chamfer and lintel and sill. Outer cells have 4-light window with 5-light above. Central cell has 5-light window to each floor. Gable stacks and 2 other ridge stacks. The earlier cottage has quoined angles except at junction with cottages. Doorway has monolithic jambs with dated lintel and chamfered surround to left of a former 2-light chamfered window lacking mullion. Gable stack.

An early example of estate workers' cottages built by the Ferrands on the boundary of the St. Ives Estate (q.q.v.).
