Description
No. 13 Currer Street is a Grade II listed building, constructed in 1864. It is a tall four-storey sandstone dressed "brick" warehouse and office designed by Eli Milnes. The building features a six-bay front with rock-faced coursing at the plinth and plain sill bands on the upper floors. The projecting eaves cornice is supported by plain consoles. The ground floor windows have bolection architrave surrounds, while the first-floor windows are archivolt arched. To the left, there is a large waggon archway with large roll-moulded Norman style corbels supporting the lintel. On the right, the office portal is marked by slender Corinthian pilasters and columns in antis, raised on pedestals, with an entablature above topped by a segmental pediment.
