Description

A row of five cottages, now forming four dwellings, dates from the 18th century. The building is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a Welsh blue-slate roof. It is two storeys high and comprises five single-cell units. All but the final unit (number 20) feature doorways with tie-stone jambs to the right of four-light, flat-faced mullioned windows on both floors; the mullions are slightly recessed. Windows have been inserted above the doorways. The final cell (number 20) has two-light windows on each floor, flanking a mid-20th century gabled porch. The second cell (number 18) has a doorway that has been altered to a two-light window in keeping with the original design. There are four stacks located on the ridge.
