Description

The K6 telephone kiosk located outside Bradford County Court was installed in 1936 and designed in 1935 by Giles Gilbert Scott. It was manufactured by MacFarlane & Co Ltd at the Saracen Foundry in Glasgow. This kiosk is made of cast iron, wood, and glass, and is set on a stone or concrete base. It features margin glazing on the windows and a wooden door that originally had a brass handle, which has since been replaced with a chrome-plated one. The kiosk also has light opals below the panels, which are embossed with unperforated crowns, and is topped with a domed roof.
