Description

Stable Court and Home Farmhouse at Tong Hall is a 2-storey rectangular building made of red brick, dating from the early to mid 18th century, with later alterations and likely an extension to create the west yard in the early 19th century. The building features stone slate hipped roofs and corniced chimneys. It has sandstone ashlar dressings, a plinth, and a platband. The original windows are two-light stone mullioned and framed oculi, while glazing bar sashes were added in the late 18th or early 19th century. There is a cambered archway leading to the yard, which includes a date panel from 1811.
