Description

Nos. 23, 25, 27 and 29 Low Mill Lane are a row of four cottages built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof and stand three storeys high. Each pair of cottages features doorways with roughly dressed monolithic lintels and four-paned sashed windows, also with monolithic lintels. There are three brick stacks along the ridge of the roof.

Inside, the top floor was used for mill storage or as a workspace. These cottages were originally home to workers at Low Mill, which was the first spinning mill in West Yorkshire.
