Description
This is a circa 1850 row of eight two-bay, two-storey town houses located at 20-28 Chapel Street. The houses are built of sandstone, faced to resemble brick, and are stepped in pairs. The windows are sash windows, largely altered or enlarged; they are topped by lintels. Cornices, featuring console brackets, are present over the doorways. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value as part of the historic precinct known as "Little Germany."
