Description

This is a row of six back-to-back sandstone cottages, numbered 25 to 35 School Green, Thornton, dating to approximately 1800 to 1820. The cottages have stone slate roofs with spaced dentils along the eaves and corniced chimneys. A sill band runs across the first floor. The windows are mullioned, with three lights on the first floor and two lights on the ground floor, all set in squared surrounds. The doorways have plain squared jambs. The property is listed for its group value.
