Description
92A Arundel Street is a house that has been converted into a store. It was built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. The building is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with a single side wall stack. It has a plinth and dentilled wooden eaves. The house is two storeys tall and has a three-window range. The windows consist of three-light glazing bar casements with multi-keystone lintels. The central doorway is round-headed, rebated, and features imposts and a keystone, with a 20th-century door and a blocked fanlight. To the left of the doorway is a 16-pane sash window, and to the right is a double board door with a two-pane overlight, both also with multi-keystone lintels. The right side of the building is blank. At the back, there is a two-storey rear wing with a two-window range and brick dentilled eaves. The interior has not been inspected. This house was previously the master's house associated with the nearby range of Little Mesters' workshops, making it a rare survivor.
