Description
This building, located at 18, 20, and 22 Page Hall Road in Sheffield, is a former co-operative store that has been converted into a DIY shop. It was constructed around 1910 and features a brick structure with a faience front and a hipped slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall, plus a blind attic, and has a three-window range.
The upper floors are designed with bays that are flanked by panelled pilasters, topped with segmental pedimented aedicules and festoons. There are three tall, round-arched, three-light windows adorned with massive swags and transoms, with the outer bays featuring dentilled detailing. The blind attic storey has rebated corners and a cornice.
On the ground floor, there is a central recessed doorway with serpentine curved side windows, a glazed door, and an overlight. The ceiling is coffered wood. Flanking the doorway are 8-pane shop windows, and above these are six segment-headed overlights. The left return of the building has a blank ground floor, while above it features a window and pilasters that match those on the front. Inside, there is a branching wooden staircase.
